Vitis Regulatory team event 2026

Earlier this month, the Vitis Regulatory team got together for our annual event.  This year we travelled to Chester where we undertook a range of conservation and maintenance activities in association with The Conservation Volunteers group (TCV), the ethos of this year’s event being teamwork and  ‘giving back’.

A sunny Friday morning saw us head over to the Countess of Chester Country Park where we were met by Andy Brookfield from TCV, who gave an introduction to the park and its background.  We then set to work edging pathways, cutting back over hanging trees, building up dead hedges, rebuilding a bug hotel, and creating a wood chip path.

While the work was labour intensive, a real feeling of teamwork and joy in the tasks that were undertaken was soon visible and there was a great sense of pride and satisfaction at the end of the day.  There was also plenty of time in the agenda for socialising and catching up with colleagues.

Our Managing Director, Oliver Warwick summed up the event with the following: “I hope today people in the Countess of Cheshire Park are appreciating the neat edges to the paths, the lovely wood chips in the fairy glade, and the bugs are checking in to their new five-star hotel. I had such a great time and really appreciate seeing everyone and seeing how much you enjoy being with each other.”
